ABOUT ME
Hi...I’m Jon, a photographer based in Hampshire.
I’m in my thirties and live in Southampton and If you haven’t guessed already I love Photography and have done for as long as I can remember. I have been so lucky to have visited so many different places around the world and seen some amazing views. I love being outdoors, exploring new and old locations.
At the weekends you’ll probably find me either waking up exceeding early or staying out late hiking before the world has woken up, capturing the Milky Way or a Landscape as the sunrises / sunsets.
I aim to bring back all the feelings that were present at the moment a photograph is taken. While our minds are wonderful things, over time memories can fade. With my photography you can relive those emotions and memories and cherish them forever.
With that being said I love photographing Weddings! In February 2017 I travelled to the amazing city of Cape Town to photograph a Wedding. It was such an amazing experience to be able to tell the story of their day.
We discussed their likes and dislikes and I gave my advice to help capture both the big moments and the tiny details.
Their reaction to the finished images was exactly the result I had hoped for. I was able to show their story in a way that they wouldn’t have seen themselves when they were immersed in their day together.
Having recently gotten married myself and having been on both sides of the camera as the groom and the photographer. I understand the stresses in the lead up to your big day and wanting everything to be perfect. I aim to help reduce those stresses by working closely with you and your chossen venue to make sure everything is in place before your big day, which is why it’s important to me to get to know you before your big day. I find this helps to create more natural finished images, with emotion as the focus on capturing the most important parts of your special day. My Wedding photography is documentary based, very relaxed and taken with a "candid" approach.
I want to share my passion of capturing your special moments; be it a creative family photoshoot, an engagement or couples shoot, wedding, events or simply by working with you to add something extra to a landscape photograph.
My style of photography is very much to capture everything as I see it in camera and behind the scenes, using applications for minimal retouching.
